1971 - 1978, das war die grosse Zeit von Sweet im Original-line-up ! Was 1971 mit Bubblegum begann, führte über powervollen Glamrock  zu feinem Hardrock. Sie schrieben immer mehr Songs selbst und kreierten  einen unverwechselbaren Sound, der bis heute Generationen von  Rockmusikern beeinflusst. Sweet feierten in dieser Zeit weltweit riesige Triumpfe, dominierten mit  20 Top-Singles sämtliche Hitparaden und lieferten ein fantastisches Album  nach dem anderen. Leider verliess Brian Connolly Ende 1978 die Band und die verbleibenden  3 Mitglieder veröffentlichten bis 1982 noch 3 weitere Alben, die nicht mehr  erfolgreich waren. In den Folgejahren waren diverse Line-ups und Coverbands  unterwegs, aber leider kam es nie mehr zur Wiedervereinigung des legendären  Original-line-ups. Am erfolgreichsten war Gitarist Andy Scott, der mit wechselnden Besetzungen  ein paar ganz starke Alben hervorbrachte und ganz aktuell wieder sehr aktiv ist. Sweet's Musik aus den 70er Jahren ist heute Kult. Hier habe ich Euch die erfolgreichsten Singles und Alben vorgestellt, überprüft von Bruno Nüssli, einem der grössten Sweetfans und Musikexperten!
